About Us
Shri Manik Prabhu Shikshan Samiti, a registered non-profit voluntary organization, was established in 1967 in the largely underdeveloped and neglected North Karnataka region by His Holiness Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu Maharaj – the fifth Peethadhipati of Shri Manik Prabhu Samsthan.
This institution is named after the great philosopher and saint Shri Sadguru Manik Prabhu Maharaj who propagated Sakalamat Siddhant – the gospel of universal brotherhood and love.
For the last five decades the Samiti has been working tirelessly towards the holistic development of the youth of the region by contributing to Education, Sports, Art, and Culture.
The Samiti is an association of like-minded and socially driven persons from diverse fields who have a common vision of bringing happiness in the lives of the underprivileged and the disadvantaged.
The Samiti was awarded the BEST NGO Award by the Government of Karnataka (in 2014) for its work in the field of education. With a dedicated team of volunteers to implement its activities, the Samiti has not only established itself as a model educational institution, but also as a responsible organization committed to the cause of wider societal development.
OUR MISSION
Shri Manik Prabhu Shikshan Samiti’s mission is to create a society free of hatred and full of love, based on the principle of equality of all beings as espoused by Shri Sadguru Manik Prabhu Maharaj.
This we aspire to achieve by:
Providing education to our young people so as to make them responsible global citizens with a capacity to think in an independent and unbiased manner.
Working for the revival and preservation of India’s great cultural heritage by running schools and colleges that teach our ancient wisdom to the new generation.
Working for the education and rehabilitation of less privileged children, with an emphasis on their overall development by running special schools and institutes.
Creating a healthy society by encouraging the young to play.
Honing the sporting talent of rural youth by providing them necessary training and facilities for achieving excellence in sports.
